Prime residential land minutes from Killarney guided at €100,000
The land could take up to 100 dwellings, which could be developed over several years, and at a guide price of €650,000 for 6.45 acres, represents a possible house-site cost of just €6,500 per home.
Joint agents, for the land which was previously sold for development as part of a larger c13-acre land parcel by the Sisters of Mercy, are Chris O’Callaghan of Savills, with Tom Spillane in Killarney, acting for a receiver. They say it is one of the very best house sites in Killarney.
The 6.45 acres, with frontage to the Port Road, was the subject to several previous planning applications for a local consortium. But as that was for the larger development, new owners of this front portion will have to make a new application.
Pre-planning discussions indicate planners are in favour of houses, at a density of 12-plus per acre and zoning is residential, with services adjacent.
The lands face the Killarney National Park, and have pedestrian access to the park. The N72 Ring of Kerry Road and the Hans Liebherr Road are just 400m away.
“It’s an opportunity to acquire land in a prime position on the edge of Killarney town centre,” says Savills Chris O’Callaghan.
