Starter homes: Donnybrook, Cork €195,000
You might expect the €195k price guide on 21 Bromley in Cork’s Donnybrook to be surpassed — after all, No 20 next door had the same price guide and sold in recent weeks for over €220,000.
With one gone, here’s another chance to buy in this outer Douglas location, says Glenn O’Connor of DNG Creedon of the well-kept home.
He reckons it’s in better condition than his previous sale here, and has front and back gardens, with the rear one tiered and stepped, with a shed at its uppermost corner.
Pitching it at buyers starting out in home ownership, Mr O’Connor says this three-bed 1,000 sq ft home is a popular location near the bottom of Donnybrook hill, with green areas just by its corner setting within Bromley.
No 21 has a brick and dash facade, off-street parking, solid double doors connecting its front and back carpeted rooms, and with a long, narrow-ish back kitchen/dining area with oak cabinets, and a vinyl floor. Two of the three bedrooms are doubles, and No 21 has one, main bathroom, while heating’s via gas and the house has an alarm and cable TV.
VERDICT: Price level is probably best set by the most recent €220,000-plus sale agreed.
