Trading up: Douglas, Cork €325,000

Cork’s suburban house market has rebounded quite a bit since the house next to this mid 1900s semi-d called Knowle went up for sale.

Knowle’s a 1,500 sq ft Douglas four-bed semi at the lower end of Tramore Lawn, between the two main Douglas Roads. It’s guided at €325,000 by estate agent Anthony O’Regan of Keane Mahony Smith, close to what the similar era house over the boundary wall, called Sid-Mar, made back in 2011. Sid-Mar went to a paralysed property market back in 2008, guiding €565,000, and a year later it was marked down to €450,000; the Price Register records it sold in 2011, for €320,000.
