THE shortage of mature, family homes in the Douglas area of Cork has underpinned the €630,000 price hopes of Kylemore, a distinctive-looking detached dormer house dating to the 1950s.

A NUMBER of the solid semi-detached houses in Cork’s Tramore Lawn have had relatively recent upgrades and extensions, but these mid-1900s builds are — or at least were — big enough for large families.
