Waterfront site a shore thing

A waterfront, 2.5-acre site in West Cork’s Baltimore port and tourist village, earmarked for a marina and tourism development, is for sale.

The site has a €150,000 to €200,00 price, via joint agents, DTZ Sherry FitzGerald and Charles P McCarthy, in Skibbereen, who say that it has “a positive planning history.”

Work on the site was commenced by developer and sailor, Dave Dwyer, who also developed the adjacent, largely completed Mariners Cove residential estate — and where remaining houses were recently offered at reduced prices by the same joint agents, with 60% under offer.
