Cow theme to the fore at new bar

IF YOU can put horses into burgers, why not cows into bars? Seasoned pub and club operators in Cork are set to cause a stampede of cow puns as they open their new premises, The Holy Cow.

Launching tomorrow on Hanover Street in the city’s teeming nightclub and bar strip off Washington Street, The Holy Cow is set to provide 20 jobs by next month.

It’s being taken on the hoof by a group with huge current bar experience, including Jonny O’Mahony, Ciaran O’Regan, Mannie Morgan and Niall O’Mahony. Bars they’ve already been associated with include The Raven, The Woodford, The Four Courts, the Bodega, The Office Bar, The Classic, Cleavers and The Savoy.
