Well-positioned and spacious suburban home is ready to roll

Frankfield semi doesn’t require any work, reports Tommy Barker

Well-positioned and spacious suburban home is ready to roll

A walk-in job for first-time buyers, with no further spending bar some curtains and a few light fittings makes 159 Curraghwoods one to look out for, for home-hunters with €240,000 to spend.

The three-bed semi-d in Cork’s Frankfield has inter-connecting reception rooms front and back, with the rear one linking by an arch to the kitchen, so there’s a real flow of space at ground level, where most floors (bar the kitchen) are in solid wood.

Upstairs, the main family bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath, plus a separate spa shower, and the master bed is en suite. Throw in the fact that there’s a ground floor guest WC, and the plumbing quotient is bang up to spec.

No 159 is to the back of the O’Flynn Construction scheme, by a green area and is well finished out inside and out, says agent Ann O’Mahony of Sherry FitzGerald. Decor is in warm tones, and the sale includes lots of appliances, etc, but specifically excludes the light fittings and curtain in the linked reception rooms — nothing a few hours shopping and a DIY moment won’t sort out.

VERDICT: You’re buying into a settled development, on the edge of the city and near Douglas village and key road networks.
