On the market and then taken off for underpinning, the New Year viewings have picked up for this tidy, semi-detached bungalow at Curraheen, Co Cork.

A no-brainer location on the edge of Bishopstown, it’s a walk to CIT and within a short commute of CUH and UCC.

Despite this, the area is quite residential, so viewings have mostly come from first-time buyers, says Brendan Bowe of Bowe Property.

He’s seeking offers close to the guide for Aherlow, which is in good condition, with wooden floors in the main reception rooms and a galley kitchen with modern units and a sliding door to the back garden.

The entire front garden is hard landscaped, which could mean the property might double as a surgery/ office or home, Bowe suggests, because it’s such a busy and accessible area.

As it stands now, Aherlow has a front room of 10’ by 8’, a lounge of 12’ by 12’ with a decent kitchen dining room of 14’ by 12’ with sliding doors to the back garden.

All three bedrooms come with polished wooden floors and built-in units and share a main bathroom.

VERDICT: Good house, all underpinned and ready to go and ideal as a home, student let, or home office, (subject to planning permission, of course).
