Location and extension big selling points
IT’S the two-storey extension here that’s the key – it will be the main selling point of No 18 Norwood Court, Cobh, says Liz Hannon.
And the English Auctioneers agent enthuses about the quality of the location:
“The view is what it’s all about – the whole house is turned south and overlooks a huge expanse of water.
It takes in Aghada to White Point and right up the river and the house is very private and not overlooked,” she says.
It’s a substantial, 2,300 square foot property on a fifth of an acre of gardens – a very big site for the town, says Liz Hannon.
And No 18 has had a big extension put on recently which not only gives it a great sitting room/sunroom blend, but also a huge master bedroom with full height windows on a south-facing sweep.
The house is well designed for a family, says Hannon, with a dedicated children’s room, a grown-up sitting room of 20’ by 14’ with a wall of glass and double doors leading to a raised, viewing deck.
There’s a utility, guest bathroom, modern fitted kitchen, study and ground floor guest bedroom.
The first floor has that huge master bedroom and there are two other rooms with family bathroom.
The gardens include a raised deck, Barna shed, and a tarmac driveway with more than enough room for a boat, says Hannon, and an underground storage space of 14’ by 8’.
She’s looking for offers in the region of €575,000 for this big, bright family home.
