IT’S normal with new builds to get in as many bedrooms as possible – even if they’re not required.

That probably has something to do with our less prosperous and more overcrowded past or, the fact that price levels are pitched on bedroom count.

Whatever the thinking, the builders of this stylish, three-bed bungalow near Lissarda, Co Cork, weren’t particularly bothered about bedroom numbers. Instead, they’ve allowed space in the attic for future extra rooms – about 650 square feet in all, says agent, Killian Lynch.
