City home ideal for gardeners

IT’S a minute’s drive from the Lough and twice again to the south ring, but all’s peace and quiet at Ouvane on Lower Friar’s Walk, Cork city.

This mature and leafy row of bungalows is now part of a suburban setting, but were in a rural setting when first built in the late 1950s, early ‘60s.

And most have large sites, built on the former market gardens for the city, the soil is black and productive, making it ideal for the city gardener and home vegetable enthusiast.
