The height of style at Kyle

JUST as the slowdown in the property market turned into a dip in 2007, the delightful Kylenahoura House in Ballyhooly, Co Cork was sold by its Dutch owners for €2.75 million, a quarter of a million euro over the guide. The buyers, a Dublin-based family, who signed up swiftly and moved in shortly afterwards, are now moving on again and the north Cork estate is for sale once more though Sherry FitzGerald O’Donovan.

The height of style at Kyle

Sitting under the Kylenahoura Mountains (and a walk, at a good pace, to the lovely village of Ballyhooly), the regency gem has 76 acres and fishing rights on one of the country’s best salmon rivers.

The house was built in the early 1800s in a hunting lodge style and includes a swimming pool extension with sauna and a newly-built gate lodge that guards the private access from the main road.
