€90,000 knocked off sale price

ALMOST €100,000 has been lopped off the asking price of Mount Carmel, down to €460,000 from an autumn hope of €550,000.

Newly appointed agent Ann O’Mahony of Sherry FitzGerald has the sale of the three/four bed detached home of 1,350 sq ft in Laburnum Park, off Cork city’s mature Model Farm Road in the western suburbs. Well maintained with lots of original features, such as tiled fireplaces upstairs and down, it is likely to be given a bit of freshening up by a new owner, with a new kitchen likely to be put on the ‘to do’ list.

Mount Carmel is near the CIT and Bon Secours, schools, colleges, etc. It has three first floor bedrooms, and scope for one of the three ground floor reception rooms to be used as a fourth bedroom, and there’s a bathroom at both ground and first floor levels.

Mount Carmel has clear extension scope thanks to its site size, and has detached garage to the rear. Work on renewing drains, underpinning and new drive has been undertaken.
