Kilcully sites should get few bites

IT’S one of the most sought-after areas of Cork’s northside, so the launch of serviced sites in Kilcully should create a bit of trading-up stir.

Kilcully sites should get few bites

The sites are off a small laneway from the main Kilcully road and the track opens into a level and sheltered site, divided into three.

The location tick all the boxes when it comes to rural self-builds and the name, Wilshire comes from the landmark Beverly Hills hotel. However this Irish field hardly attains the sunny glory of its American namesake.

With just three houses planned in a discrete crescent, the largest site is already sold, (with a Glasnevin-eque conservatory planned), but two remain at €425,000 each with 0.37 of an acre apiece. There is full planning for two-storey houses of 2,800 square feet, including conservatories.

The sites come with mains water, (sewage will require a connection to the existing treatment plant), and, as building prices are as competitive as house prices at the moment, this could be a good trading up strategy.

Opposite the Rosemount estate, which has a number of large, individual homes, Wilshire is rural, but at the same time, minutes from Blackpool Shopping Centre, the business park and retail parks.

It’s also close to the city’s ring road system and minutes from town in good traffic.

Clinch Young and Groeger are selling agents for this rare, northside opportunity.
