Whitechurch development offers space and quality finish
There are a number of new estates around the church and school and the newest is Castle Court, a follow-up to Castle White, an early Whitechurch development by Castlelands Construction. Now the Mallow firm is opening its proposed 80-house scheme with 2,000 sq ft detached homes.
And even before the launch, the response from buyers has been very positive — 14 of a total of 26 units have been booked off plan.
The first show house will open this weekend and Sherry FitzGerald O’Donovan will man the A-type from 2pm to 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday. This is the first of three show houses, the others in the process of being finished by Pam Sheehan of Burke by Design, in conjunction with Keating’s Furniture.
A fine, traditional house with big rooms and good gardens front and rear, the show house comes with a maintenance-free coloured render, natural slate roof and Tobermore paving to the front drive and the rear patio.
The layout is very simple: Two rooms on one side, formal and informal living rooms, and one huge kitchen/diner with utility on the other.
There’s a good, wide hallway with central arch and a very generous guest bathroom: The utility, too, is the size of an average semi kitchen.
Prices aren’t bad for a house of this size; the A is €565,000, and the B and C type come in slightly lower at €560,000.
Each house will come landscaped, with solid boundary walls to the front, including electronic gates, and Castlelands, who are good on finish, include quality granite fireplaces and full oak joinery, including doors, skirting and architraves.
The kitchens include gloss units with a cream granite worktop and a fully fitted utility.
