Four-bed in ‘pristine’ condition

THE corner site at 8 Deerpark Court, off Cork’s Friar Street and within an easy stretch of the city centre, has a whole lot to recommend it.

Four-bed in ‘pristine’ condition

It is a corner site with scope at least for an extension if not a whole other house, and the interior is in spot-on condition.

So says Joe Carey of Remax Auctioneers, who guides the four-bed early 1990s home at €375,000, and at this level is very much priced to sell.

The owners are keen on a move to the country (obviously the corner site and nearby public green have given them an appetite for even more space) and what they are leaving behind is “in pristine condition throughout,” he adds.

The Deerpark development was built by O’Brien and O’Flynn, who got their hands on an extraordinary suburban city site, which had been in farm use up till a few decades ago.

The location is close to the city, to UCC and hospitals, to Turners Cross and the Kinsale Road, and is easily accessed from just about every point, with schools and services all to hand.

This four-bed (two doubles, two singles) family home has off-street parking and a walled-in front garden, with a higher wall surrounding the side garden, a pine kitchen with integrated appliances, two ground floor reception rooms plus kitchen and guest WC, and a main family bathroom overhead. Heating is via gas, and windows are double glazed.
