AS a regional logo goes, ‘The Sunny South East’ is hard to beat. Especially when it is cloudy overhead, it is supposed to be summer, and you have the suspicion some other part of the country is getting the rays of the sun.

A real Rosslare sun-trap, with six miles of beach across a quiet road, it is up for auction in the next week. It is euphemistically described as in need of ‘some modernisation,’ which is being quite kind to its basic chalet block-built shack structure — though is it entirely usable, in time for this coming summer.

Forth View is out the Cliff Road, and faces over its ditch directly to the sea, with views from Rosslare to Raven Point, spanning miles of golden, sandy beaches.
