Bargain price at Ballylickey

EVERYONE loves a good bargain, especially when it comes to buying a home. Property hunters in west Cork will find one at 10 Riverway, Pearsons Bridge, Ballylickey, Bantry, which has gone from €475,000 to what Carmel O’Reagan of SWS Property Services calls a steal price of €405,000.

Bargain price at Ballylickey

Number 10 is a detached four bedroom house in a new scheme close to Ballylickey village.

Accommodation extends to 2,100 sq ft, and includes a lounge, sitting room, shaker-style kitchen/dining room, conservatory, utility, guest toilet, four bedrooms, one en-suite, and the main bathroom. The grounds are relatively low maintenance with tarmac to the front and a private, walled lawn and patio area to the rear.

Thanks to the drop in guide price, and the stamp duty reforms from the last budget, purchasers pay €19,000 stamp duty rather than €34,000 which would have been payable under the old system.
