LAST sold about 18 months ago, the historic Glencree Cottage has since had extensive funds spent on it in structural improvements, guaranteeing its future survival.

The 2,200 sq ft house is on 3.8 acres of very mature, wooded and attractive grounds at Brooklodge, near Glanmire in Cork.

In two linked sections, and alongside old stone mill ruins, it was part of a tuck mill (a mill used for beating and cleaning cloth) complex making uniforms for the military at the time.
