YOU mightn’t be able to park a car outside your front door at Green Cottage, but you will have nearby access to a ferry and the chance of a boat mooring within a few hundred yards.

The good news is that the car parking is just down the steps from this elevated, semi-detached, period house with mature gardens in Glenbrook.

Green Cottage, which has views of Cork harbour, is set back from the road and so should be classified as a ‘hidden gem.’ Built in 1800, the house, with its protecting green shutters, is in good condition.
