Long house by the Lough

A PROPER pitched roof and roof tiling wrapping around to form a porch or door shelter to the front, plus a covered canopy across the rear of the house are simple but effective ways to lift a post-war three-bed semi into the bigger and better league.

Now a four-bed semi, the house 2, Brookfield Lawn near the Lough in Cork has a master bedroom in the new wing annexe (over the former garage area) and although a bit on the narrow side, it is long and has an ensuite with shower.
