New developments on the north side

NOW that Cork’s Blackpool Retail Centre looks set for a pre-Christmas opening, with lots of new shops lined up, living on the north-west of the city is getting better and better.

New developments on the north side

Opening before Mahon Point, and alongside Blackpool Shopping Centre, in the Pole Field, the retail warehouses should be a huge draw in the rejuvenated northside suburb.

Not too far up the road in the village of Carrig na bhFear, there’s also been a spate of new developments.

In one scheme Carrigwell, a five-bedroomed, detached property is now on the market at €475,000 through Michael O’Donovan of Sherry FitzGerald.

More than big enough to meet every need and with a really good interior, this property offers excellent value for money, he says. Right in the village, with local amenities that include a swimming pool, number 6, Carrigwell is ideal for families trading up, says Mr O’Donovan.
