THERE’S a slight sense of deja viewed at Ventura, an ace family home in Cork’s Browningstown Park.

It bears a striking specification similarity to another three-bed Douglas semi just sold by the same selling agents right around the corner, so those on the house-hunting trail coming to view can expect a similar package.

Ventura hits the market with a cautious €330,000-plus guide quoted by Dennis Guerin of Frank V Murphy and Co.

The guide is cautious because the similar semi-detached home with stand-alone garage conversion nearby is understood to have fetched about €385,000, and an earlier sale agreed on it was even higher but didn’t translate into a closed deal.

Likely to go over €350,000, and possibly a bit more, Ventura has a smaller garden (the other property had a big corner site) and is an immaculately decorated home with two reception rooms with fireplaces, patio garden access from one, has a kitchen with pine units, guest WC, three bedrooms all with built-ins, main bathroom and a floored attic with pull-down stairs.

The upgrades include replacement windows and gas heating, and the mature area just off the main Douglas road is well served by schools, shops, bars, amenities, buses, etc.
