Detached houses for Midleton

BUILDER Ted Crowley is best known for one-off houses, but his company Crowley Homes is about to take on a niche scheme of 11 detached houses at Broomfield West, Midleton, east Cork.

The area of the town has been earmarked for a surge of new homes, and McInerneys have several hundred new alone coming on stream in this location near where the rail station may re-open in the coming years.

He is to complete the development by summer next year, building two-storey four-bed detached homes of 1,800 sq ft.

Prices at the launch will be €280,000, says auctioneer Lawrence Sweeney of Global Properties, acting jointly with McCarty and McGrath REA in Midleton.

The builder’s reputation is strong, and he has completed hundreds of one-off house in Munster, primarily in east Cork.

These Midleton homes, called Holly Ridge, will have four bedrooms with one en suite, an optional ground floor dining room or fifth bedroom, lounge, study, guest WC, utility and kitchen/dining room.

Location is a five-minute walk via the Mill Road from the centre of Midleton, and about a 15 to 20 minute commute by road to Cork city.
