Bandon apartments have perfect views of weir

THERE’S a theme song for those buying at Bandon’s Mill Race scheme — it goes “we’re here, because weir here, because.....”

Full-on views of the town’s weir from many of the apartments at this just completed development are a scenic feature.

Locally-grounded developers Coolfadda are behind this Section 23 development on McSwiney Quay, next to the acclaimed Urru food store and the Riverside Shopping Centre.

The company has developed around 50 apartments and town house units in Bandon already in niche schemes, is actively developing retail units (on St Patrick’s Quay) and on the larger front is securing a significant local land deal and has paid over €20 million for a vast tract of developable land in Kenmare.

The company, through Michael Galvin of DNG Galvin, is launching eight of the 14 units in Mill Race with a showhouse launch this Sunday (2 to 5.00pm.)

What is distinctive is the size of units available, from 700 sq ft right up to 1,200 and 1,400 sq ft.

All the apartments in the four storey development are furnished and fitted out.

Prices range from €255,000 to €330,000.

Interior design in the turn-key apartments have a modern flair, and units range from one to three bedrooms, including duplexes and penthouses, says Mr Galvin.

A number have views overlooking Bandon river’s famous weir and picturesque riverbank vistas, and most have private patio/balcony areas, each with their own entrance from a central courtyard.
