Live life at the centre of things
Comedian Graham Norton was one of those who bought a similar unit a couple of years ago, and sold on for a handsome profit without spending a night in his shrewd investment.
Time has moved on since his local, home-town property twist, and so have values in this early 1990s scheme of mock-Georgian facade apartments.
This one weighs in at over 1,100 sq ft, says selling agent Gretchen Kelleher of Lisney, who says it is big enough for occupants to consider it as a full-time home. She guides it at €450,000, and at this price level it comes with a secure basement car parking space.
It has two bedrooms, and living quarters are at its top level where the best city-scape and roof-top views can be caught, west to St Fin Barre’s Cathedral.
The apartment has space for a reception hall, and a utility room/store and the two bedrooms are both double sizes.
The living and kitchen/dining room is upstairs, in a spacious room 26’ by 20’ with oak kitchen units and a fireplace, while central heating is gas-fired.
