Large house near county's 'Gold Coast'

IT'S surprising, considering its massive, 5,000 square foot size, but this house at St Conlon's Road in Nenagh was built before the boom.

Since 1999, the 'small is beautiful' mantra hasn't really got through to Irish house-builders, in rural areas in particular.

But here on St Conlon's Road, on the Dromineer side of town, there was good reason for the large footprint - a large family.
