Horses for courses as Paddocks home looks a good bet

This was once the paddock of Douglas House, owned by the Horgan Family, who trained two English 2,000 Guinea winners in the late 1980s and early 90s.

And the equine connections continue because the Moloney family, who are now selling No 2, The Paddocks, hold the Farmer’s Royal Cup for racing. The cup, which took a stone of silver to make, was reputedly filled five times and more on the train back to their home in Knocklong, Co Limerick.
