Recent days have highlighted the precarious position in which US president Trump’s volatile trade policies have placed the global economy and, by extension, Ireland. 

The dramatic U-turn on tariffs, seemingly triggered by bond market jitters rather than reasoned diplomacy, serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of this administration and the potential for significant financial turmoil.
