Letter to the Editor: Paul Murphy should apologise for slur against Pat McDonagh

I wish to call out Paul Murphy TD for his disgraceful tweet on May 26 about Pat McDonagh of Supermacs.
Mr Murphy claimed that Pat McDonagh wants the €350 COVID payments to be cut so "that'll make it easier for him to get workers to work for €200 a week"
Does Paul Murphy T.D really believe employers want anyone working for €200 a week or is this Mr Murphy's attempt to whip up a bad feeling among some of his followers?
Paul Murphy T.D twisted the truth that Pat Donagh correctly pointed out that some former Supermacs part time workers are better off with €350 per week for doing no work as opposed to the €100/150 per week they may have earned by doing one or two shifts per week pre-Covid. This is neither fair nor sustainable for businesses or the State's finances.
The minimum wage has been set and I have never heard of Supermacs not adhering to it.
On the contrary I have heard of Supermacs to be a fine and fair employer and an Irish success story which employs thousands directly and many more through its suppliers.
Mr Murphy T.D should apologise.
Yours etc,
