Reader's Blog: 'On the Vancouver/ Washington border it can take hours waiting going North or South'
In regards to the Irish border question in Brexit and Mrs May hoping to bring some use of technology that is used here on the Canada / USA border I would say to the Irish people do not be fooled by such talk.
On the Vancouver/ Washington border on weekends and more so on long weekends it can take hours waiting going North or South and lineups that are mile long, even with a Nexus pass for private cars and trucks that have special clearance.
It is sad reading to see what is happening to my country of birth at the moment and the peace of the last twenty years ready to go out the window, as a Kinsale man all I will say if it ain't broke don't fix it, meaning the border.
