Readers Blog: Brexiteers’ little regard for ordinary people
The Brexit Challenge Edoardo Campanella recently presented a wincingly accurate picture of the UK’s ruthlessness towards the colonised while also outlining interesting viewpoints on the Brexit conundrum, ‘The global nostalgia epidemic’ (Irish Examiner, July 23).
This well-respected economist maintains that the English aspire to “create a modern version of the old imperial mother country” which would, in turn, free them from all restrains imposed on them by the EU.
