I am writing in reference to the article ‘People have mythical beliefs about causes of cancer, says study’ (Irish Examiner, April 27) regarding the recent Cancer Research UK study which focused on popular beliefs about the causes of cancer.

Unfortunately, important aspects of both the research publication and associated reporting are inaccurate and misleading.
