Readers Blog: Emissions of three culprit pollutants have increased here

The Environmental Protection Agency’s report on the 2016 emission of the five main air-pollutants shows that levels of three increased: ammonia, nitrogen oxides, and non-methane volatile organic compounds.

Emissions of ammonia have been increasing since 2011 and in 2016, for the first time, they were above the specified, EU emission limit.
