Christmas is upon us and the year is ending. The reindeer will pull Santa’s sleigh and deliver the children’s toys.
And the sports writers will reflect, even though the fixtures in many seasons are only half-complete. It is also the shooting season, a sport at which the IRFU rugby union excels, at least when shooting itself in the foot, as per the failure to acquire the World Cup.
