THE publication of photos showing torture and abuse of Iraqi prisoners has revealed a darker side to the war in Iraq.

Having rid themselves of one dictator, the Iraqi people now appear to be suffering at the hands of their so-called liberators.

The soldiers responsible for inflicting this violence should be ashamed of their actions and should be held accountable for them.
