Once again, the most vulnerable suffer

OVER the past few months we have heard much about the striking public health doctors.

Once again, the most vulnerable suffer

It would seem from my own personal experience that among those services disrupted are, once again, those to people with disabilities.

Individuals who have attended for medical assessment under various department schemes for example, the "primary cert" application to qualify for concessions in relation to motoring.

Such individuals have been left in limbo, unable to proceed with adaptations or purchase of vehicles, etc, as certificates have not been signed off by a senior officer.

This further hardship being experienced by people with disabilities is just another nail in the coffin of a dying Government and Health Minister as they continue to dole out more hardship to those must vulnerable in our society the elderly, sick, children, homeless and people with disabilities.

How long more are we prepared to accept these attacks on the defenceless?
