DESPITE the loss of some young lives in the immediate locality through car and motorbike accidents, the remedies being taken are pathetic.

Recently, having signalled to turn in my own gate I was overtaken by a car doing 50/60pmh in a 30mph zone.

This was only one of the near misses recorded in my locality recently.
