YOUR readers might be able to help us in our efforts to write a history of the Dwyer family involvement in two of Cork’s major companies of yesteryear - Dwyer & Co and Sunbeam Wolsey.

Dwyer & Co was set up in 1820 by James Dwyer, my great-great grandfather, and Sunbeam Wolsey was set up in 1928 by Billy Dwyer, a brother of my grandfather.

I would be delighted to hear from readers with any memories or stories about working in either company.
