Family research trip came to abrupt end

MY husband and I planned our vacation and family research trip to Ireland months ago.

Imagine our disappointment when we went to the National Library on March 18 and were told the records were closed. Our complete itinerary was planned around that day of research.

What possible harm could there be in having the records open to the public?

Since they are open for purchase at the Mallow Heritage Centre, it does seem it's a money-making scheme.

I'm very disappointed.
