If I reach into the heart of just one person...

THE other day I received a very humbling text message from my brother-in-law, Khurshíd. He lives in Multan, in the Punjab province of Pakistan.

Luckily, he and our family there escaped the devastating earthquake. In desperation he has requested me to appeal to you to donate as much as possible - even €1 can turn around the life of someone who is destitute, orphaned, maimed and homeless.

In these times of collection box and appeals fatigue, it is hard to stimulate interest, but if I reach into the heart of just one person, it will have been worth it.
