Republican myth behind the mayhem

WATCHING Saturday’s events on television, I couldn’t help but think that it was really a win-win situation for republicans.

They got to come down south and crack some heads, and Fianna Fáil and the PDs won back all those votes that they’ve been losing to the “Hello Mary Lou, Goodbye Farc” brigade.

I actually believe the Sinn Féin leaders who came out and condemned the attacks. They know that a lot of the hard work they’ve been doing down south went up in flames with all those BMWs that some people seemed to take exception to during the weekend.
