I WAS amazed at Colm Rapple’s article (Money and Jobs section, Irish Examiner, Nov 28) urging consumers to shop around for favourable credit card deals.

It was misleading because he failed to mention the €40 Government levy on credit cards.

If you decide to change from one card to another during the year you will be charged €40 when you take out your new card.
