Samba Soccer School was first class

JUST to respond to Dan Buckley’s article (Irish Examiner, July 22) about some of the negative comments on the Samba Soccer School.

While I understand locations and facilities vary, I feel as a parent who had a five-year-old son at Samba Soccer School for a week in Nagle College in Blackrock, Cork, that I would like to share with you how he got on.

There was one coach to every group, eight groups in total and one coach to every group of ‘whiz kids’, that is, children under six years of age.

The facilities were first class, the coaches were very professional and extremely good with the kids, especially the whiz kids who all had a great time.

The value for money was excellent €90 for the week, 9.30am to 2.30pm every day. Included in this was a samba shirt, hat, ball, sunglasses, socks, video, shorts and gear bag.

I would really recommend this fantastic soccer summer camp to all parents.

It was great to see my son every day with colour in his cheeks.

Paul Daly,

Blackrock,

Cork.
