Dubious ally for SDLP
When you are floundering about trying to keep your head above water the last thing you ought to be doing is grasping for the nearest anchor as it’s on the way down.
If this is where the SDLP sees its future, joining a party that is synonymous with corruption, greed and self-interest in the Republic, then I think they may as well shut up shop now. It shows how out of touch they are with reality and probably best explains the drubbing they received from Sinn Féin in the Assembly elections.
