Question of standards

AS an American, I want to thank Miles Cattell (Irish Examiner letters, May 10) for reminding us of the outrages that Islamic fundamentalists accept and even approve. .

It is proof that we operate to a higher standard by not tolerating the much milder mistreatment that a small number of our own troops have committed
