Pubs pay the price

I AM sick of listening to bar owners complaining about how their profits are going to be reduced by 30% if the no-smoking ban is introduced.

Pubs pay the price

Ever since the introduction of the euro pubs have been taking advantage of their customers left, right, and centre. We have seen the price of drink increase dramatically even minerals such as Coke and water are now more expensive than a litre of petrol. Now, when the shoe is on the other foot, pubs want us to oppose the no-smoking ban so that their profits won't fall while we continue to inhale smoke.

We their customers have seen our wages fall not just as a result of their price hikes but also those of shops and restaurants.
