I HOPE Dublin city council will listen to the appeal by Andrew Green (Irish Examiner letters July 5), to restore the audio/tactile system on traffic lights for blind people.

Those of us who have our sight should count our blessings that we can be independent to move anywhere.

I have had sight problems over the years so, understandably, I’m interested in the rights of blind people.
