Cú Chulainn would be turning in his grave

THE Gaelic Athletic Association, with Fianna Fáil and the Catholic Church, are considered by many to be the three great institutions of Irish life.
Cú Chulainn would be turning in his grave

Fianna Fáil has sold out on Tara and now the GAA has sold out, as it hosts a conference held by the National Roads Authority, one of the destroyers of Tara.

The GAA uses the image of Cú Chulainn in their ads. Do they know that his head and right arm are reputedly buried on the Hill of Tara? Probably not.

No wonder the GAA did not respond to calls to back the Save Tara campaign. So much for Cú Chulainn being the first person to play hurling in early Irish literature.
