Anti-smoking lobby using phoney science

WITH reference to Dr Fenton Howell’s letter (‘Smoking ban not to blame for FF losses,’ Irish Examiner, June 21), both he and his organisation, ASH Ireland, have misled the public.

This has been done through a combination of phoney science and the creation of fear and uncertainty around the supposed effects of environmental tobacco smoke.

They now have sunk even lower, threatening politicians who, rightly, are considering modifying this crazy blanket ban which has marginalised up to 30% of the population.
